December Diaries

Christmas is coming,

It’s so exciting!

Black Friday spending,

Advent calendar opening.

Big brass band concert,

London trip to see the lights.

Choral choir and dinner with the girls.

Theatre trip.

Can we have a night in?

Cheap mulled wine and Aldi stollen,

December blogging.

Holly picking, lights unravelling, tree decorating,

Card writing, gift wrapping,

Wreath making.

I’m completely knackered.

Jazz orchestra and Christian carols.

I can’t face another mince pie.

Christmas movies,

Neighbours’ drinks,

Do I really have to go to the staff lunch?

Shopping trips and walks with friends,

Festive swing at the community centre,

Children’s nativity? Not a chance.

Family to stay.

Christmas markets and festive fairs,

Why did you spend £20 on a knitted corkscrew?

Charity collections,

Love in a box.

No, you go and pick up the bloody turkey.

Shopping, cooking, washing-up,

Shopping cooking, washing-up,

Screaming is very therapeutic actually.

Ferrero Roche, Pringles, Matchmakers, Baileys,

Quality Street, Roses, Heroes and Celebrations.

Oh my god, I’m so fat.

Back to work.

It can’t be January already?
