Merry Christmas

Hope you had a joyful Christmas! Here are a few things I’ve enjoyed today.

Bucks Fizz and croissants to start my day.

(I’d like every morning to start that way)

A festive pony who came to say hello.

(I gave him a carrot before he had to go)

A ridiculous pile of presents under the tree.

(Some of them were even for me)

Huge lunch with family and cat.

(Yes, I’ve definitely gotten more fat)

Snowballs and cava and Chardonnay.

(I’m not an alcoholic, it’s just for one day)

Festive games like charades and Bananagrams.

(That last one might just be my family)

Peep Show Bake Off and Home Alone 2.

(We’re all too full to find anything else to do)

A final Baileys and off to bed.

(With thoughts of Christmas flitting through my head)

A day spent with family is a joy to behold.

And it’s worth its weight in gold.
